Nice spot to rest or grab a fast meal around the neighborhood. Some seats, noisy, but alive. If you are a bread person in the morning, I recommend here. Fast and easy to start your day with affordable food. For food, only rating for the bakery part since I didn’t get any big plates. But I recommend their tea since it is make to order! You can make it unsweetened. I had an unsweetened Hong Long style milk tea. It was rich and paired well with my sweet toast. I had the toast with condensed milk which reminded me breakfast stores in our cultures. Toast with sweet spread like chocolate or peanut butter. Classic, nothing special but a good choice for a day not that hungry or the day you just miss this taste.

Great little spot to get a good meal. Flavors or good but not typical of Chinese takeouts. Like the pork chops are served on top of ground pork with pickled vegetables. General Tao’s was delicious. Portions are good for one person but can be shared if you’re not a big eater

Really good food, and the staff is polite. I highly recommend the yangzhou fried rice and the beef ho fun.

If you want to eat where the locals eat, this is the place to go!! It is a small hole in the wall place but smack on Main Street, very conveniently located. Service is quick, the price decent, food authentic. We went there for their authentic breakfast sets. I loved their condensed milk toast and eggs that comes with coffee or tea. I would definitely recommend this place for authentic Chinese food. They also have freshly baked desserts and bubble tea. The downside is that it is cash only and has very limited seating which makes it very crowded during peak times.

Ordered some sponge cakes and beef chow fun after grabbing a quick bite at a restaurant on the next block. The beef chow fun had a good portion size, and the noodles cooked just right. Should have come here instead to enjoy the Hong Kong style cuisine, but it was tight, and the tables were full.

This place is great! Ladies are very nice. Got a bunch of stuff. All was good. Only took 1 star off for bathroom. No toilet paper and a little dirty…Chinese standard it’s fine. Hahahaha ~~

I planned to get a couple of pastries from 88 Canteen since my husband loves Hong Kong Style pineapple buns with custard so much. However, I visited too late at about 4pm on a weekday and most of their pastries were sold out already. I ordered their Baked Portuguese Chicken on Rice to go and shared with my husband for dinner. The portion was great with plenty & various ingredients and the price was reasonably at $10. The dish was decent and satisfying but the texture of chicken was a little weird & tough for me. We might come back in the morning next time to try their pastries or breakfast. The only one complaint is Cash Only, which is a concern during the pandemic.
